Patrick Paradis

HEAD COACH
VPSC Program Director

Coach Patrick will be returning for his second season with VPSC and will continue in his role as Head Coach / VPSC Program Director for the 2024-2025 season. Coach Patrick will serve as the Lead Coach for the Senior Elite group while overseeing the Performance Pathway for the VPSC Program. He will work closely with all VPSC Program Section Directors to ensure consistency in the overall program for all levels within VPSC, allowing for all athletes to progress in develop in and out of the pool. Coach Patrick is very excited for the 2024-2025 season and believes this will be an excellent year and major step forward for the entire program.

Kyle Cheng

Senior Program Director

Coach Kyle is returning for his third season with VPSC which will be his second season as the Senior Program Director. In this role, Coach Kyle will serve as Lead Coach for the Senior Performance and Development groups. Additionally, Coach Kyle will oversee and guide the VPSC Fitness Program, and the program's lead coach. Coach Kyle will also take the lead role in planning, staffing, and delivering VPSC Swim camps during the 2025 March Break as well as the Summer of 2025. With last year's successes under his belt, Coach Kyle eagerly anticipates what we can accomplish together this year.

Ryan Gurney

Junior Program Director

Coach Ryan will be returning for his 4th season as the Junior Program Director.  Coach Ryan will oversee the entire Junior Program while leading the Junior Elite group. Coach Ryan will work closely with the Junior Program Lead Group Coaches as well as the Head Coach, Youth Program Director, and Minis Program Director to ensure VPSC’s development pathway is second to none. He is looking forward to continuing in his role with VPSC as he will be able to use his expertise to coach swimmers, help mentor and development coaches, and contribute to the performance pathway for all VPSC athletes.

Amy Kong

Junior Performance

Coach Amy is returning for her third season at VPSC. Following a successful year with the Junior Program during the 2023-2024 season where she served as the Lead Coach for the Junior Development group, she is excited to begin her new role as Lead Coach of the Junior Performance group. Coach Amy brings a wealth of knowledge along with an excellent working partnership with Coach Ryan which will undoubtedly have a very positive impact on the swimmers. Coach Amy will work closely with Coach Ryan to develop, deliver, and guide the Junior Performance program for the 2024-2025 season.

Josie Field

Junior Development

Coach Josie will be joining VPSC for the 2024-2025 season, which will be her first season with the VPSC Program. Coach Josie joins us after serving as the Head Coach of Vancouver Vikings Summer Club for the 2024 season. Coach Josie also brings a wealth of swimming experience as she swam at an extremely high level throughout her swimming career with both the Langley Olympians and UBC Thunderbirds. We are thrilled to welcome her aboard and look forward to her invaluable contributions in strengthening our Junior Program. Her wealth of experience and passion for coaching promise to inspire and elevate our young athletes.

Ashleigh Gow

Coach
Youth Program Director

Coach Ashleigh will resume her role as the Youth Program Director, coaching the Youth Performance group, and overseeing the Youth Development A & B groups. VPSC is very fortunate to have Coach Ashleigh at the helm of the Youth Program as she will play a significant role in the development pathway for all VPSC athletes. She is enthusiastic about advancing upon the foundations established over the past year and elevating the youth program to new levels of excellence.

Laiken Greffard

Youth Development A

Coach Laiken joins us from Pacific Sea Wolves (PSW), bringing with her six years of coaching experience. Most recently, Coach Laiken has worked with PSW athletes aged 10-12 who swim at the LMR Champ, Divisional, and Provincial levels during the 2023-2024 season. We are excited to welcome her to our team and look forward to benefiting from her expertise. We are extremely confident that the Youth Development A swimmers will be in very good hands for the 2024-2025 season.

Agatha Leung

Youth Development B

Coach Agatha will be returning for her second season with VPSC after provided invaluable support to our Junior and Senior Masters program during the 2023-2024 season. This year, she is delighted to transition to work with the Youth Program where she will lead the Youth Development B group, bringing a wealth of knowledge from her time with Gators Swim Club in East Vancouver.  

Minis Program

Kaitlyn Mak

Minis Program Director

After being with VPSC for two seasons serving as the lead coach for Youth Development B group, as well as assisting other groups and program planning, Coach Kaitlyn will oversee the VPSC Minis and Swim School Programs. Coach Kaitlyn will serve as the Lead Coach for the Minis Platinum group while supervising and guiding the Minis Gold and Silver Programs as part of the Minis Program development pathway in conjunction with the overall VPSC development pathway. Coach Kaitlyn will also oversee the VPSC Swim School, the coaching staff, and the program content. VPSC is very fortunate to have Coach Kaitlyn in this important role with our program.

Coach Victoria will be returning for her sixth season with VPSC, and she will be continuing her exceptional leadership of the Minis Gold group. Her unwavering commitment and coaching expertise have significantly contributed to our team's progress and achievements. We are very pleased to have Coach Victoria return to her role with the VPSC Program for the 2024-2025 Season.

Minis Silver 1 & 2

Coach Mairin will be returning for her second season as the Lead Coach for the Minis Silver 1 & 2 groups. We are very excited to see Coach Mairin return to her role with the VPSC Minis Program. Coach Mairin’s knowledge, dedication, and coaching acumen will continue to be a great benefit to all the swimmers she will be working with in 2024-2025.

Coach Stephanie will be returning to VPSC for her second season and, she will be working with the Minis Silver 1 group on Mondays & Wednesdays in support of Coach Mairin and her overall program delivery of the VPSC Minis Silver 1 & 2 program. We are very fortunate have Stephanie back for another season working with our Minis Silver swimmers.

Coach Erin is returning for her second season with VPSC where she will serve as Lead Coach for the VPSC Fitness Program. Coach Erin provides a keen eye for technique while maintaining a structured practice environment. Her values and commitment align perfectly with our vision for the club, and we look forward to her being part of the team again this year.

Alycia Weber

VPSC Operations Manager

Alycia Weber has joined VPSC in the role of Operations Manager. In her role, Alycia will oversee club events, meet hosting, and will also serve as the VPSC Registrar, ensuring our operations are streamlined and efficient. Alycia has recently graduated from Long Island University in New York with a BS in Marketing while representing the Division 1 University on their varsity swim team. Her expertise will play a crucial role in optimizing our growth and advancing our organization to new heights. Alycia will work closely with the Head Coach, Financial Administrator, and the VPSC Program Section Directors.
