Becoming a Swimming Official
For a swim meet to run smoothly and successfully, we require many volunteer hours and lots of hands on deck. It is expected that as your swimmer progresses through their different skill groups, you will also progress through the different officiating positions.
How To Activate Your Officials Account
To activate your officials account simply click on the Registration, Tracking and Results (RTR) – Login Page and login using the credentials, username and password, emailed to you by Swimming Canada. If you did not receive this email please contact Tonje Molyneux, our Club Officials Director. Once you log on please activate your Associated Official Accounts by clicking on the button to the right of your name.
How to Complete an eModule and Register for a Clinic
To complete an eModule or Register for a Clinic simply click on the Learning Management System (LMS) - Login Page and login using the same credentials you used to activate your account. Once you are logged in click on the blue STATUS button at the top to access the eModules and click on the blue CLINICS buttone at the top to register for the clinics. You will need to scroll to the bottom of the clinic page to find the four that are listed on our Event Page.

Vancouver Pacific Swim Club encourages families and guardians of swimmers to progress through the officiating positions as their swimmers advance through the groups.
If your swimmer is in any of the Mini Makos Groups...
All Mini Makos group parents are expected to complete the Level I Red Pin requirements, Intro to Officiating (Timekeeper) as well as the Safety Marshal Clinic. These are typically offered together or can be completed online (anyone 12 years old or older is able to take this course!). To receive the Level l Red pin you must just complete these two courses. Please ensure that you complete two successful deck evaulations as well. These can be done at the same swim meet over two different sessions.
If your swimmer is in the Youth or Competitive Development Groups...
All Youth and Competitive Development group parents are expected to complete the requirements above for their Level I Red Pin, complete the Stroke & Turn Judge courses and two successful deck evaluations.
If your swimmer is in one of the Junior Groups...
All Junior group parents are expected to have completed the above two requirements and obtain their Level II White Pin by taking at least one additional Officiating course (see below) and doing two successful deck evaluations in that area:

If your swimmer is in one of the Senior Groups...
All Senior group parents are expected to have completed Level I and Level II and be working on their Level III or IV courses.
You should complete at least three more of the following clinics with two successful deck evaluations per clinic area:
